Biographical Information[edit]
Charles Bordes is a former minor league baseball player who played in the Texas Rangers organization. He was originally drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 15th round of the 1971 amateur draft. The Rangers drafted him one year later, 15th overall in the 1972 amateur draft. His playing career ran from 1972-1976, including 1974-1976 in AAA. An infielder, Bordes posted fair batting averages without much power. He only homered four times in his pro career.
He is the father of former minor league players Brett Bordes and Greg Bordes. He is also related to former Pacific Coast League president Bill Cutler, former major leaguer Jack Heidemann and minor leaguers Mike Heidemann, Jim Patterson and Larry Patterson.
