High-A East

From BR Bullpen

(Redirected from Mid-Atlantic League)

The High-A East was established in 2021 as part of the reorganization of Minor League Baseball into the Professional Development League. It was one of three High-A sections of the League, the others being the High-A Central and the High-A West. It was largely made up of former teams of the South Atlantic League, the Carolina League and the New York-Penn League, all of which played their last season in 2019. In earlier versions of the reorganization plan, it had been called the Mid-Atlantic League. In 2022, it rebranded itself as the South Atlantic League.
