Biographical Information[edit]

Peter Dudunakis has been on the Greek national team.

He hit .219/.284/.274 as a freshman at Holy Cross and .224/.344/.352 as a sophomore. His junior year was wiped out by the COVID-19 pandemic. He improved to .270/.389/.446 in '21. Transferring to Marist, he batted .281/.439/.469 in 2022. He then became a financial analyst, but took a break to play for his ancestral homeland of Greece in the 2023 European Championship. [1]

In the 2023 Euros, he was Greece's starting second baseman. In their opener against champion Spain, he hit 7th and struck out against Orlando Rodríguez and former major leaguer Rhiner Cruz. His first hit was a RBI double off Austria's Eoghan McGarry. Later that day, he went deep off Ryan Rupp and singled off Alexander Kienberger to fall a triple shy of a cycle. He finished those Euros at .357/.438/.643 with five runs in six games, fielding .786. While he tried Eric Brenk and Bálint Piros for third with three errors, he tied Dimitri Kourtis for third on Greece with nine total bases and tied for third on the team in runs. [2]
