Biographical Information[edit]

Mena Florio debuted for the Canada in the 2023-2024 Women's Baseball World Cup, in the group phase (2023). She had a tough assignment in her first outing, facing Jillian Albayati and Team USA. She retired Ashton Lansdell to start the game but Alex Hugo doubled and came around to score on a Remi Schaber single. She would allow five hits, two walks and six runs (four earned) in 3 1/3 IP; Jaida Lee relieved. Florio far outperformed her bullpen, which yielded 17 runs (12 earned) in the next 1 2/3 IP. A highlight was a 1-2-3 3rd against the US 3-4-5 hitters: Naomi Ryan, Schaber and Jade Gortarez. Canada advanced to the 2024 portion despite the tough loss. [1]

Off the field, she is a chiropractor. [2]
