Biographical Information[edit]

Matt Snyder played college ball at the University of Mississippi for four years before the New York Yankees drafted him in the 10th round of the MLB 2012 amateur draft. Snyder played in the Yankees minor league system from 2012-2018. He spent part of 2018 with the independent league St. Paul Saints before finishing his playing career in the Miami Marlins system in 2019.

The Marlins hired Snyder to be the Clinton LumberKings hitting coach in 2020 before COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the minor league season. Snyder was hitting coach of the Beloit Snappers in 2021, Beloit Sky Carp in 2022 and Pensacola Blue Wahoos in 2023.

Matt is the son of Brian Snyder, brother of Brandon Snyder, and twin brother of Michael Snyder.
