Biographical Information

Matt Hattabaugh has been a minor league player and scout.

Hattabaugh was picked by the Minnesota Twins in the 41st round of the 1987 amateur draft out of high school. After college, he was taken by the Chicago White Sox in the 21st round of the 1991 amateur draft. He split the summer of 1991 between the Utica Blue Sox (.205/.383/.219 in 26 G) and the South Bend White Sox (0 for 7). He played 30 error-free games at catcher between the two clubs. Hattabaugh later scouted for the White Sox, signing Jeremy Reed, Sean Tracey and Wes Whisler.
