Biographical Information[edit]

Martin Vissac has played in French Division I and for the French national team.

Vissac debuted for the Rouen Huskies in Division I in 2017, going 1 for 6 with a walk, run and two RBI. [1] In the 2018 European Junior Championship, he batted .235/.350/.294 with six runs in five games. He had ten putouts and no errors. Only Fabian Kovacs had more runs for France. [2] In '18, was 0 for 1 for Rouen. [3] He went 0 for 2 with a sacrifice fly in the 2019 European Champions Cup. [4] That summer for Rouen, he began to see a bit more time, hitting .441/.525/.500, as a solid bench player while they won their fifth straight title. [5] The 2020 French season was wiped out by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Back in action the next year, he was 3 for 13 with a RBI and 15 putouts in center for Rouen in the 2021 European Champions Cup. [6] In the 2021 European Championship U23, went 5 for 8 with 3 doubles, 3 runs, 4 RBI and 2 times plunked. [7] In the '21 French Division I, he hit .279/.337/.372 as Rouen won the pennant. He had 37 putouts, one assist and no errors. [8] He played for France in the 2021 European Championship at age 20. In the opener, he replaced Jacques Boucheron in left field and was retired by Israel's Ben Wanger. His first hit was a double off Russia's Rody Castelló to score José Paula. He finished the event at .176/.263/.294 with four runs and two RBI in five games, handling 12 error-free chances between 2B and LF. [9]
