Biographical Information[edit]
Mark Batchko has been a minor league catcher and a scout.
Batchko hit .178/.330/.192 and fielded .970 as a backup catcher behind Willie Royster for the 1976 Niagara Falls Pirates. The next year, he posted a .140/.362/.209 line with 31 walks in 42 games for the Wisconsin Rapids Twins, fielding .950. Overall, he had batted .164/.342/.198 with 31 walks in 153 plate appearances over 42 games; he scored 10 runs and drove in 7. He fielded .962.
Batchko later served as the New York Yankees scout for Texas. He signed Brandon Claussen, Slade Heathcott, Sean Henn, C.J. Henry, Austin Jackson, Jeff Karstens, Daniel McCutchen, Andy Pettitte, Kevin Russo, Matt Smith and Kevin Thompson.
