Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Marc Sauer was selected by the Florida Marlins in the eighth round of the 1998 amateur draft. He played four years in their organization before being selected by the Oakland Athletics in the AAA phase of the 2002 Rule V draft. After two years in the A's chain, he briefly pitched in the independent leagues.
More recently, Sauer has been an Oakland A's scout. He signed Ryan Doolittle, Shawn Haviland, Sean Murphy, Max Perlman and Murphy Smith.
