Manuel Boscán has played in the minors and for the Colombian national team.
He was signed by Cleveland Indians scouts Ramon Pena, Cesar Geronimo and Jose Stela early in 2010. That summer, he hit .233/.247/.279 as a utility infielder for the DSL Indians. In 2011, he hit .193/.279/.261 in the same role for the same club, but getting into more than twice as many games (44 to 21). In 2012, he produced at a .274/.324/.306 in 24 games for the AZL Indians, now as a 1B/C. During 2013, he batted .195/.203/.208 for the Mahoning Valley Scrappers to end his time in the Indians chain. He was 0 for 1 with the 2013-2014 Aguilas del Zulia.
He then played in the Colombian League. He was one of several Venezuelans active in that circuit who appeared for Colombia when they won the 2017 Bolivarian Games. He hit .231/.333/.385 and scored the first run in a 2-0 win over Panama, which tied for their closest game. The only game he did not appear in was their Gold Medal Game 6-4 win, also over Panama.
