Biographical Information[edit]

Maksyum Lisnytskyi pitched for the Ukrainian national team in a few events.

Debuting in the 2005 European Championship, the teenager saw his only European Championship action. His first outing was against the Czech national team, relieving Evgen Tkachenko in the 6th with a 7-2 deficit and allowing one run in one inning before Andriy Kubalsky took over. His 12.27 ERA in three appearances was the team's highest but he also tied Anatoliy Korolev, Tkachenko and Oleksandr Trofimenko for the team lead in appearances. [1] In the 2014 European Cup, he played for KNTU Elizavetgrad, going 0-for-5 and allowing four runs in a third of an inning. His 108.00 ERA was the highest in the Cup; Tommaso Cherubini was next at 63.00. [2]

In the 2015 European Cup, he lost to ASD Rimini's Filippo Bertolini but was much better with a 4.32 ERA and going 1-for-5 with a RBI. He was 4th in ERA (between Diegomar Markwell and Aaron Dunsmore) and 7th in IP (between Dmytro Limarenko and Dunsmore). [3] Pitching for Ukraine in the 2015 B-Level European Championship, he relieved a struggling Sergii Shtapura in the first inning against Switzerland and allowed 5 runs in 8 to beat Daniel Levine; Heorhii Hvrytishvili saved it for him. [4] With Biotechkomanda in the 2018 CEB Cup, he saved Vitalii Chukhrii's win over the Therwil Flyers then upset the Bonn Capitals, beating Maurice Wilhelm. He struck out five batters looking, second in the event. [5]

The veteran right-hander allowed two runs in seven in the 2019 CEB Cup, losing to Lowuin Sacramento of the Astros Valencia in a solid pitching duel. His .192 opponent average was 7th-best, between James Sanders and Elvis Gomez. [6] He allowed one run in five for Ukraine in the 2019 B-Level European Championship, beating Slovakia's Marek Bošanský, but Ukraine finished second in the pool when Shtapura dropped the finale. [7]
