Biographical Information

Luis Pacheco pitched in the minors and for the Venezuelan national team.

He was signed by Philadelphia Phillies scout Jesús Méndez in October 2016. He allowed two runs in seven innings for the 2017 DSL Phillies White then had a 5-3, 2.00 record for them in 2018. Coming stateside, he went 2-1 with a 4.45 ERA for the GCL Phillies West.

Pacheco next surfaced in 2022 with the Empire State Greys, going 0-6 with a 7.71 ERA. He pitched that winter for the Águilas del Zulia, going 1-0 with a 2.20 ERA in 15 games. With Venezuela for the 2023 Pan American Games, he debuted against Brazil. Closing out a 3-1 loss, he relieved Nivaldo Rodríguez and retired Lucas Rojo and Gabriel Do Carmo. He allowed one run in 1 2/3 IP for the Games. He and Sergio Velis were the only Venezuelan hurlers to appear in three of their four games.
