Biographical Information[edit]
Luca Rammelmann has played in the Bundesliga and for the German national team.
He debuted in the Bundesliga-1 in 2021, hitting .238/.389/.333 for the Paderborn Untouchables. [1] In 2022, he improved to .371/.432/.657 with 22 runs in 19 games while still a teenager for much of the year. Had he qualified, he would've been 7th in the Bundesliga-1 north in average, 5th in slugging and 7th in OPS (between Daniel Patrice and Drew Janssen). [2] In the 2023 European Champions Cup, he was 5 for 18 with a walk and 5 runs but made 3 errors in 12 chances in right field, tying for the event lead in miscues. [3] He hit .250/.294/.313 in the 2023 U23 European Championship but drove in 7 runs in 5 games, trailing only Samuele Gamberini in RBI. [4]
For the 2023 Bundesliga campaign, he was at .317/.397/.425. He tied Gary Owens for 4th in hits (47), led with 5 triples and tied Terrell Joyce for 9th with 13 extra-base hits. [5] The next year, he slipped a bit to .319/.356/.407, with 24 RBI in 25 games. He tied Antonio Torres-Skerrett for 7th in RBI and tied Owens for 9th in hits (45). [6] Prior to the '25 season, he played for Germany in the 2026 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers. Replacing Lou Helmig in left late in a loss to Colombia in his lone appearance, he grounded out against Yapson Gómez. [7]
