Biographical Information[edit]
From a newspaper article in 1908: "In Louis Cook Rock Island has a good man and one who has already had some experience as manager of college teams. His home is in Quincy and he first attracted attention as a member of the Illinois university team which he afterward coached. Peoria signed him in 1906 and transferred him to Rock Island in the middle of the season. He worked at shortstop the remainder of the season and last year was utility man."
