Biographical Information[edit]
Lon Joyce went 473-170 as head coach of Spartanburg Methodist College from 1978-1991. Among the major leaguers he produced were Reggie Sanders and Dwight Smith. He then became a Los Angeles Dodgers scout in 1992. He signed Luke Allen, Reggie Abercrombie, Jonathan Broxton, Grant Holmes, Edwin Jackson, Jake Lemmerman, Ethan Martin, Adam Riggs and Jerry Sands.
He coached at Union High School from 1972 to 1977.
