Biographical Information[edit]
Leonardo Munhoz has played for the Brazilian national team.
He hit .500/.536/.577 in the 2011 World Youth Championship, with a four-hit game versus Australia and five hits against Indonesia. He joined future major leaguers Austin Meadows and Yu Chang on the All-Star outfield. [1] His debut for the senior national team was in the 2024 South American Championship. Batting 6th and playing left in their opener, he grounded out against Argentina's Kevin Riello his first time up. His first hit was off Chile's Emilio Germann-Cisterna. He hit .200/.200/.267 with four RBI in five games. He tied Sebastián García and Agustín Tissera for 4th in the tourney in RBI. [2]
