Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher Lee Head was known for his ability to not strike out. In 1933 he had only 3 Ks in 468 AB and a mere 1 strikeout in 402 AB in 1935. In addition, his career average was over .300.
Head played in the minors from 1921 to 1941, collecting 2,221 hits, 389 2B, and a .304 average. He also scouted for the Cincinnati Reds from 1952 to 1958.
