Biographical Information[edit]

Landen Bourassa has pitched in the independent leagues and for Team Canada.

Bourassa was 9-4 with a 2.63 ERA in two seasons in junior college. [1] Transferring to the University of San Francisco, he had a 8-4, 3.02 record as a junior. He allowed 3 runs in 3 1/3 IP as a senior and was medically redshirted. His 2020 season was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic when he was 1-1 with a 1.38 ERA. Getting yet another year of eligibility, he had a 7-4, 2.88 record in 2021.

He then signed with the independent Winnipeg Goldeyes, going 4-0 with a 2.63 ERA that summer. In 2022, he had a 5-5, 4.33 record for them. In the 2023 Pan American Games Qualifier, he made one appearance for Canada. Relieving Ryan Kellogg in the third with a 2-0 deficit, he yielded a Sebastián García double then got Nicolás Alvarado on a grounder. Exequiel Talevi's sac fly made it 3-0. Bourassa hit Jacinto Cipriota and followed with a wild pitch then Agustín Tissera singled for a 4-0 game. Will McAffer took over. [2] He was 11-6 with a 4.62 ERA for the 2023 Goldeyes. He tied Gregori Vasquez for the American Association lead in victories.

In 2024, he walked only 25 in 119 innings and was 8-7 with a 4.01 ERA. He tied fellow Canadian national team hurler Travis Seabrooke and Tyler Grauer for 9th in the AA in wins.
