Biographical Information[edit]
Nicolás Alvarado played for the Argentinian national team in the 2022 South American Championship. In his debut, he pinch-ran for DH Jacinto Cipriota in the 8th against Peru and scored the go-ahead run on an Eduardo Zurbriggen double. He flew out against Kevin Yamamoto later in that 8-run inning that gave Argentina the win. His other contest, he started at short versus Bolivia as Agustín Tissera got a day off. Alvarado struck out his first at-bat, facing Ronald Quiroga, but hit a two-run single off Quiroga his next time up. He later walked and grounded out against Camilo Ramos.
