Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Lance Ray played in the Minnesota Twins system from 2010 to 2014. He was originally taken by the team in the 8th round of the 2010 amateur draft, a few picks after outfielder Jabari Blash. He was signed by scout Earl Winn.

After posting a .289/.372/.417 line in 64 games between two clubs his first year, he hit .253/.335/.432 with 16 home runs, 74 RBI, 10 steals and 34 doubles for the Beloit Snappers in 2011. He was a MiLB.com Organization All-Star that year. He followed that with 13 home runs and 66 RBI in 2012, at one point earning a Florida State League Player of the Week honor, though his average slipped to .234. Then he played just 30 games in 2013 and 26 games in 2014 to wrap up his career. He peaked at Double-A.

Overall, Ray hit .251/.336/.410 with 35 home runs and 194 RBI in 360 games over five seasons.
