Biographical Information[edit]
Kyle Rodrigo Villafaña Jr. has been on the Philippines national team.
Villafaña Jr. represented the Philippines in the 2019 Asian Championship. He was 1-for-1 in his debut against Pakistan, and that was his only appearance in that event. [1] He was the All-Star second baseman in the 2023 East Asian Baseball Cup, hitting .200 with a run and a RBI in two games for the champs. [2] In the 2023 Asian Championship, Villafaña Jr. was 0-for-1 against Thailand in their first game, and he went 0-for-1 against South Korea. He was named their leadoff hitter against Chinese Taipei, but he was 0-for-3. In the Bronze Medal Game, Villafaña Jr. was retired by Kang-hoon Woo after he replaced Adriane Ros Bernardo in the 7th inning, and South Korea shut out his team and won Bronze. [3]
