Biographical Information[edit]

Kuo-Hua Lo pitched in the CPBL for 6 years. His uncle is former MLB pitcher Chin-Hui Tsao, and his brothers are CPBL players Kuo-Long Lo, Kuo-Hui Kao and Kuo-Lin Kao.

Lo was drafted by the Uni-President Lions in the ninth round of the 2009 CPBL Draft. He had a 3.09 ERA in 26 appearances in the minor league in 2010, and the Lions released him. The Brother Elephants picked him up, and Lo had a 5.63 ERA in 32 games in 2011. He improved to a 4.55 ERA in 34 games in 2012, then he recorded a 3.22 ERA in 31 games in 2013. Lo was still reliable as his ERA was 3.27 in 33 appearances IN 2014, but he then slumped to a 5.86 ERA in 39 games in 2015. He pitched 2/3 of a shutout inning in each of 2015 Taiwan Series Game 5 and 7, but the Lamigo Monkeys still beat the CTBC Brothers (the Elephants had changed their name) in 7 games. Lo only pitched 5 games with the big club in 216, then he announced his retirement in 2017.

Overall, Lo was 2-5 with a 4.53 ERA, struck out 107 and pitched 200 2/3 innings in 6 seasons in the CPBL.
