Biographical Information[edit]

Kun-Sheng Chiang caught in the CPBL and the TML for 8 years. His son is CPBL catcher Shao-Hung Chiang

Chiang represented Taiwan in the 1989 World Port Tournament. He was signed by the Mercuries Tigers when they were founded in 1990, but he only had 201 at-bats combined in his first three seasons because Chung-Nan Tu secured the starting catcher spot. Chiang won the competition with Tu in 1993, and he hit .222/.244/.309 as their starting catcher. He then recorded a .206/.271/.236 batting line in 1994, and he hit .194/.240/.224 in 1995. Cheng-Tang Hsu ‎ took his spot in 1996, so he only got 80 at-bats and the Tigers released him. He then joined the Taichung Agan in 1997, and he hit .236/.262/.264 in 48 games. The Agan released him after the 1997 season, and his career ended.

Overall, Chiang had hit .219/.257/.263 with 222 hits and 3 homers in 8 seasons in the CPBL and the TML.
