Biographical Information[edit]

Kuang-Hung was a pitcher in the CPBL and for the Chinese Taipei national baseball team whose career ended in scandal.

Lin played for Taiwan in the 1989 Asian Championship and 1989 Intercontinental Cup. The Wei Chuan Dragons signed Lin when they were founded in 1990. Lin was 3-4 with a 4.61 ERA in his rookie year. He broke out next year, recorded a 2.89 ERA in 21 game played, and collected 24 strikeouts. Lin pitched a career-high 27 games and 99 2/3 innings in 1992, but his ERA rose to 4.70. He never took back his pitching stuff of 1991, and the Dragons released Lin in 1995. Lin then served as pitching coach for several teams like the Taipei Gida (1997-1998), the Wei Chuan Dragons (1999) and the La New Bears (2005-2006). Lin was then banned from the CPBL for his involvement in a gambling scandal in 2006.

Overall, Lin was 14-20 with a 4.31 ERA in 116 games in the CPBL.
