Biographical Information[edit]
Koshiro Imamura pitched for Saibu Gas in the industrial leagues after college. He was picked for the Japanese national team for the 2014 Asian Games and made three appearances for the Bronze Medalists. He struck out all three Pakistani national team batters he faced after replacing Reo Moriyasu; he was relieved by Takuaki Iguchi and got credit for the 9-1 win. Against Mongolia, he replaced Takayuki Kato and retired Batzul Tsolmon, Munkh Ochir Bayarmaa (a K) and Baasandorj Batsaikhan (a K). He also gave up a hit to Unubold Oyunbaatar, only Mongolia's second hit of the Asiad. His last appearance came in Japan's lone loss, to Taiwan. He relieved Iguchi as the 4th hurler, with Japan already trailing 10-3; he was the first hurler to stop the fires as he pitched 1 2/3 IP with one hit and one strikeout. Katsutoshi Satake relieved Imamura.
