Biographical Information[edit]

Kil-sung Choi played in the Korea Baseball Organization for 6 years.

Choi was drafted by the Haitai Tigers in the 7th round of the 1996 KBO draft, and he decided to go to college first. He joined the Tigers in 2000, and he went 2-for-5 in that season. He was then sent to the LG Twins, but he mainly stayed in the minors. Choi only played 25 games with the big club from 2001 to 2005, and he missed two seasons due to military service. He also represented South Korea in the 2005 Baseball World Cup. After leading the minors in homers in 2005, Choi finally got some chances in 2006, and he hit .256/.330/.380 with 4 homers. The Twins then traded him with Man-ho Choi to the Lotte Giants for Seok-jin Park and In-ho Son. Choi hit .165/.257/.275 in 2007, and the Giants released him. He signed with the SK Wyverns in 2008, but he didn't reach the big club, then he announced his retirement.

Overall, Choi hit .227/.308/.343 with 88 hits and 7 homers in 6 seasons in the KBO.
