Biographical Information[edit]

Kevin Schula played in the minor leagues and CPBL.

Schula was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 25th round of the 1988 amateur draft out of high school and in the 81st round of the 1989 amateur draft out of junior college but did not sign either time. He finally was signed by the Atlanta Braves in 1992, and he hit .178/.278/.267 for the Idaho Falls Braves in that season. He then signed with the Jungo Bears in 1993, but he was soon released after going 0-for-5 in 4 games. Schula had a .197/.269/.279 batting line for the Long Beach Barracudas in 1995, and he crushed 11 homers with a .325/.385/.547 batting line for the Moose Jaw Diamond Dogs in 1996. He was the Prairie League All-Star catcher that season. He He hit .190/.264/.342 for the Bend Bandits, .224/.348/.342 for the Regina Cyclones and going 5-for-14 for the West Manitoba Wranglers in 1997. The 1997 season was his last season as a professional player.
