West Man Wranglers
(Redirected from West Manitoba Wranglers)
In 1997 the Brandon Grey Owls were renamed the Western Manitoba Wranglers (or West Man Wranglers. The team from Brandon, MB remained the worst in the Prairie League, going 16-45 under Mike Willoughby. Attendance was last in the league (7,119), less than half any other team - even though one (the Moose Jaw Diamond Dogs) barely played half the season. For the third straight year the club had no All-Stars. Rick Wagner (3-1, 3.41) finished sixth in the circuit in ERA. The team and league folded after that season.
