Biographical Information[edit]
Keng-Yu Chen played in the CPBL for 2 years.
Chen represented Taiwan in the 1984 World Junior Championship and 1988 Haarlemse Honkbalweek. The Uni-President Lions signed him when the league was founded in 1990, and he hit .130/.180/.174 in that season. He was 2-for-26 in 1991, and the Lions released him. Chen later coached the China Times Eagles from 1994 to 1997, and he was banned for life after the 1997 season for his involvement in a game-fixing scandal. He later coached the Taiwan Steel University of Science and Technology.
Overall, Chen had hit .121/.167/.170 with 17 hits in 2 seasons in the CPBL.
