Ken Williams pitched in the minor leagues and the CPBL.

Williams was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 1st round of the January portion of the 1985 Amateur Draft, and he went 3-2 with a 3.02 ERA for the Bristol Tigers in his first year, fanning 67 in 59 2/3 IP. He was third in the Appalachian League in ERA (behind Mike Adams and Scott Schultz) and tied Brian Dubois for 5th in strikeouts. He also pitched 7 games for the Gastonia Jets, but his ERA was 5.87. Williams was 4-10 with a 6.29 ERA for the Jets in 1986, then he went 6-6 with a 3.53 ERA for the Fayetteville Generals and 2-0 with a 2.66 ERA for the Lakeland Tigers in 1987.

He was 11-7 with a 3.60 ERA for the Glens Falls Tigers in 1988, tying Greg Brinkman for 5th in the Eastern League in wins and finishing 7th in the Detroit farm system. He reached AAA the next year. However, Williams struggled there as he was 4-12 with a 5.38 ERA for the Toledo Mud Hens. He tied Tommy Greene and Kent Mercker for third in the 1989 IL in losses. He went 0-4 with a 6.18 ERA for the London Tigers in 1990, and the Tigers released him. Williams then pitched for the independent Miami Miracle, and his ERA was 7.03 in 13 games. He improved to a 3.24 ERA in 40 relief outings in 1991, and he also notched 12 saves. The Jungo Bears signed him in 1993, but Williams went 0-2 with a 4.79 ERA, and his professional career ended.
