Yasui returned in 1946, and he recorded a .276/.402/.379 batting line while breaking Katsumi Shiraishi's NPB record for most runs scored in a season (Kazuo Kasahara broke it 2 years later). Yasui also led the JPBL in walks, plate appearances and CS, and he tied Kazuto Tsuruoka for 3rd in steals with 32. The Wakayama native struggled again at the plate in 1948, and he only hit .203/.320/.253 with 16 steals. He led the JPBL with 81 walks again. Yasui then hit .239/.333/.315 with 17 steals in 1949, and he tied Makoto Kozuru and Kazuo Matsumoto for 7th in triples. When the JPBL split into two leagues in 1950, Yasui joined the Taiyo Robins and he hit .248/.350/.335 with 8 triples. He was 8th in triples in the Central League, tying Toshimichi Kunieda, Takeshi Miyazaki and Tamaichi Yasui. He slumped to .153/.314/.224 in 1951, and he only hit .199/.318/.271 in 1952. Taiyo released him after he had a .230/.272/.250 batting line in 1953, and the Takahashi Unions picked him up. Yasui's batting line was .191/.319/.267 in 1954, but he only played one game in 1955 then he announced his retirement.

Overall, Yasui hit .226/.336/.298 with 711 hits and 41 triples in 11 years in NPB. As of 2023, he was tied with Koji Akiyama for 89th in triples in NPB.
