Biographical Information[edit]

Juan Jesus Alvarez pitched in the minors leagues and the CPBL.

Alvarez played for the Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos from 1988 to 1994, and he went to the Tigres Capitalinos from 1995 to 1996. He then stayed with the Olmecas de Tabasco for 2 years, and he went 12-8 with a 2.20 ERA for them in 1999. Alvarez signed with the Chinatrust Whales in August, and he went 3-1 with a 3.27 ERA in 1999 CPBL. He then had a 6-8 record with a 3.54 ERA in 2000, and he went 4-8 with a 4.07 ERA in 2001.

Moving to the Vaqueros Laguna in 2002, Alvarez went 7-6 with a 3.65 ERA but his ERA rose to 6.19 in 2003. He then went to the Piratas de Campeche in 2005, and he was 8-6 with a 4.39 ERA. Alvarez was 8-5 with a 3.63 ERA in 2006, and he went 5-9 with a 4.11 ERA in 2007. He had a 8-2 record with a 3.17 ERA in 2008, but his ERA rose to 8.85 in 4 games in 2009. He also started 12 games for the Broncos de Reynosa in 2009 season, and he was 4-4 with a 4.19 ERA. Alvarez struggled in 2010 as his ERA was 7.20 in 7 games, and he also went 1-4 with a 5.69 ERA for the Petroleros de Minatitlan. He had a 8.53 ERA in 10 games in 2011, then his professional career ended.
