Team History[edit]

The Petroleros de Minatitlán were briefly members of the Mexican Southeast League in 1968 and of the Mexican League from 1992 to 1995, compiling only one winning season during that period. In 1996, they became the Potros de Minatitlán. In 2007, they returned to the Liga, but had the worst record in the circuit. After finishing last in back-to-back years in 2012 and 2013, they folded again and were replaced by the Tijuana Toros.
