Escorcia was signed by the New York Yankees in December 2013. He was 3-2 with a 3.68 ERA in 9 games for the 2014 DSL Yankees 2, 1-1 with a 10.13 ERA in nine games for the 2015 GCL Yankees 1 (21 BB, 37 K in 18 2/3 IP) and 1-3, 6.29 in 10 games for the 2016 GCL Yankees. Overall, he was 5-6 with a 6.48 ERA in 28 games (6 starts) before they released him in 2016. In 75 IP, he had allowed 80 hits and 66 walks while striking out 61 and throwing 22 wild pitches.
He joined his brother on the Colombian national team in the 2017 Bolivarian Games. He did a fine job in his start, allowing four hits and surprisingly walking none in six shutout innings, fanning eight to outduel former major leaguer Frank Mata of Venezuela. Kendy Batista took over in the 7th with a 1-0 lead and Escorcia and Colombia got the win. Colombia would take the Gold, their first baseball Gold at the Bolivarian Games since 1973. He pitched a shutout inning in relief another game. He tied Ronald Ramirez for third in the event in strikeouts, behind Davis Romero's 29 and Carlos Parra's 9. He tied Parra and Juan Corpas for most innings with a 0.00 ERA.
