Biographical Information[edit]
Juan Alvaro Macasaet has been on the Philippines national team. His brother Juan Paulo Macasaet also played for the Philippines.
Macasaet represented the Philippines in the 2017 Asian Championship, hitting .091/.286/.091 with 2 walks. [1] He hit .250/.276/.250 with 4 runs scored in the 2018 East Asian Baseball Cup, and he was named the All-Star third baseman. [2] Macasaet remained with them for the 2019 Southeast Asian Games, helping them win Gold. [3]
He next appeared in the 2019 Asian Championship. He was 1-for-4 with a RBI in his debut against Pakistan, and he was 0-for-2 versus China. He then went 0-for-1 against South Korea, and he collected 2 runs with a 2-for-4 record against Hong Kong. He went 1-for-4 with a double against Sri Lanka in his last game in this event.[4]
