Biographical Information[edit]

Jose Correa pitched in the minor leagues and the CPBL.

Correa was signed by the Minnesota Twins in 1990, and he was 4-5 with a 4.55 ERA for the GCL Twins in his first year. He improved to 2-2 with a 2.59 ERA in 1991, leading the Gulf Coast League in appearances (27, 3 ahead of Rob Adkins) and tying José Alberro and Derrick Bottoms for 6th in saves. He went 7-2 with a 2.25 ERA for the Elizabethton Twins in 1992. He tied Kevin Legault and Mike Matthews for 5th in the Appalachian League in wins, tied Ted Hassen for 9th in games pitched (22) and struck out over a batter per inning.

He was 4-5 with a 2.63 ERA for the Fort Wayne Wizards in 1993, but he slumped to 0-4 with a 6.57 ERA in 1994. He left the Twins organization after the 1994 season. The Brother Elephants signed him in 1998, and he had a 3.73 ERA in 20 relief outings.
