Biographical Information[edit]

José Mordock was 2 for 12 for Panama in the 2021 U-23 Baseball World Cup. [1] In the 2023 Pan American Games Qualifier, he started in left against Team Canada in the opener and batting leadoff. He grounded out against Andrew Albers his first time up. He was 0-for-3 entering the title game against host Argentina. When LF Edgar Muñoz left the game in the 4th, Mordock came in and would play a big role. He singled off Lucas Ramón in the bottom of the 4th to score Jason Patterson and make it 4-2. His three-run triple off Kevin Riello the next inning put it well out of reach at 9-2. Despite his backup role, he tied Sebastián García and Nicolás Alvarado for 4th in the event in RBI. [2]
