Biographical Information[edit]
Jorge Hereaud has played baseball for Tenerife in the Spanish leagues and a couple French teams and has represented France at international events. He played third base for the U21 French squad at the 2009 Open international de Rouen. He played briefly for the 2010 Toulouse Tigers, going 4 for 16 with two runs and two RBI, fielding .867. In 2012, he was 1 for 16 with a walk, two RBI and an error for the Templiers de Senart. He blossomed in 2014 with Toulouse, hitting .333/.374/.457, fielding .939. He tied Leonel Cespedes and Jonathan Haras for 8th in French Division I with 8 doubles, tied Will Musson for 9th with 48 total bases and was 3rd in both assists (84) and double plays (16).
He played for France in the 2014 European Championship, hitting .235/.235/.294 and fielding .933 as the backup to Maxime Lefevre at 2B. He batted .314/.356/.397 and fielded .974 for Toulouse in 2015, tying for 4th in the league with ten doubles. He was a bench player for France in the 2016 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers, backing up Lefevre (this time at 3B) and Frédéric Walter at 2B. He was 2 for 5 with a RBI; only Frédéric Hanvi had a better average for France (though Hereaud was not among the qualifiers). His hits both came in games against Panama, off Saúl González and Andy Otero.
