Jordis Ramos has pitched in the minors and for the Dominican national team.
He was 0-2 with a 8.31 ERA in 8 games for the 2015 DSL Padres, with a WHIP of 2.83. After allowing four walks and two runs in 2/3 of an inning for the team in '16, the San Diego Padres released him. The Chicago White Sox signed him and he was 1-3 with a 3.31 ERA for the DSL White Sox the remainder of the summer. He was 13- with a save and a 4.06 ERA for the 2017 DSL White Sox, with 48 walks and 23 wild pitches in 44 1/3 IP. He led the Dominican Summer League in both walks and wild pitches. He had gone 2-9 with a save and a 4.70 ERA in 45 minor league games, with 94 walks and 21 wild pitches in 97 2/3 IP.
The giant lefty pitched a game for the Dominicans in the 2023 Pan American Games. He relieved Cesar Rosado in the 4th with a 4-2 deficit versus Cuba. He struck out Luis Mateo, got Roel Santos on a grounder and whiffed Yoelkis Guibert. Enmanuel Acosta then took over in the 5th. [1]
