Biographical Information

John O'Brien played 18 games for the Baltimore Monumentals of the Union Association during the circuit's lone season in 1884. In 1885 he played for the Bridgeport Giants in the Southern New England League.

He is not to be confused with another John O'Brien who came later and who is known as John "Chewing Gum" O'Brien, whereas this one is John E. O'Brien.
