Baltimore Monumentals
Win-Loss Record: 58-47-1 (.552)
Managed by: Bill Henderson
Ballparks: Belair Lot (April 17-September 24, 1884), Monumental Park (Aug. 25, 1884)
The 1884 Baltimore club was one of the strongest ones in the Union Association, in that it lasted over 100 games and had a record over .500. Over two-thirds of their wins came from Bill Sweeney while Emmett Seery and Yank Robinson guided their offense.
A different team with the same name also played 13 games that year in the Eastern League, going 3-10 in two weeks of play before folding due to an inability to draw enough fans as the third team in town behind the AA's Orioles and the UA Monumentals.
