Biographical Information[edit]
John Happenny was the backup for the second half of the 1923 season to second baseman Eddie Collins of the Chicago White Sox. Playing behind an all-time great, he only batted 86 times in 32 games, hitting .221 with 10 RBIs.
He was at the University of Illinois at the same time as Otto Vogel, Harry McCurdy, and Wally Roettger.
