Biographical Information[edit]
Wally Roettger was the head coach at Illinois from 1935 to 1951.
He was the head basketball coach at Illinois Wesleyan from 1925 thru 1935 seasons.
His brother Oscar Roettger was a major league player and minor league manager. Another brother Harold Roettger was a scout and executive for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Brooklyn Dodgers.
