Biographical Information

First baseman/outfielder Johan Limonta played for Industriales of the Cuban National Series before defecting to the United States in October 2004 with Yunel Escobar, Yamel Guevara, Rafael Galbizo, and two other players. He was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 20th round of the 2006 Amateur Draft. He began 2011 in AA ball with the Jackson Generals and was moved up to AAA Tacoma in mid-April.
