Biographical Information

Jimmy Osinga pitched in the Hoofdklasse.

He had one appearance for the L&D Amsterdam Pirates in the 2015 European Cup, holding the Brest Zubrs to two hits and a walk in eight shutout innings (fanning four) before Daan Hendrix closed out the win. He tied Andrea Pizziconi for third in the Paris pool in ERA (Raúl Rivero and Rob Cordemans were also at 0.00, in more innings). He allowed the lowest average, .077; Pizziconi was next at .143.

Osinga saved Pim Walsma's win over Kotlarka Prague in the 2016 European Champions Cup as Amsterdam won its first European Cup. He went four innings (2 H, 3 BB, 1 R, 1 ER, 4 K). He was 1-0 with a 4.82 ERA in the 2016 Hoofdklasse. Moving to UVV in 2017, he was 0-2 with 23 hits,17 walks and 29 runs (26 earned) in 12 1/3 IP, striking out two. He has not played in the league from 2018-2021, meaning his career may be over.
