Biographical Information

Pitcher Daan Hendrix began playing with the L&D Amsterdam Pirates of the Hoofdklasse in 2012. He allowed five runs (two earned) in five innings as a rookie with six hits, no walks and two whiffs. He also worked one inning in the 2012 European Cup, finishing a 15-4 win over Draci Brno. He had a 5.68 ERA and 2.13 WHIP for the 2013 Pirates and allowed one run in 2 1/3 IP in the 2013 European Cup

Hendrix formed a stellar bullpen in 2014 with Jurrian Koks (1-2, 5 Sv, 2.34) and Kyle Ward (2-1, Sv, 1.38) - Daan had the lowest ERA of the trio, going 2-1 with three saves and a 1.20 ERA in 18 games, allowing a .167 average. In the 2014 Holland Series, he gave up one unearned run but six hits and three walks in four innings; Amsterdam fell to DOOR Neptunus in 7 games. He pitched 2 1/3 shutout innings in the 2015 European Cup.
