Biographical Information[edit]

Jerome Delos Santos has played for the Northern Mariana Islands national team, starting in the 2002 Micronesian Games. [1] In the 2005 South Pacific Mini-Games, he was 4 for 9 with 3 runs, leading his team in hits and tying for the most runs. [2] He was with the Northern Marianas for the 2006 Micronesian Games as well. [3]

By the 2011 Pacific Games, he was one of the team's most experienced players. He hit third and played short in their opener, going 1 for 4 against Palau's Kalson Dulei. Against Fiji, he had the game-ending single, off Sanail Colainima, to score Josh Jones. He hit .360/.370/.400 with four RBI, two steals (in two tries) and two runs over seven games entering the finale; only Jesus Iguel had a better average for the team. He was tied with Juan Maratita for 7th in the Games in average, tied Maratita for 4th in hits (9) and tied Byron Kaipat, Iguel for 6th in total bases (10) , tied Maratita for 8th in assists (13) and tied for 8th in errors (3). [4] In the Gold Medal Game, against Guam, he hit third and played short still, going 1 for 3 with a walk, run and a RBI while handling five chances error-free in the Islands' 8-4 win. [5]
