Biographical Information[edit]

Byron Kaipat has played in the Saipan Baseball League. He was the starting first baseman for the Northern Mariana Islands national team in the 2011 Pacific Games. In the round-robin, quarterfinals and semifinals, he hit .269/.321/.385 with four RBI in seven games, handling 47 chances error-free. A highlight was a three-hit game to beat defending champion Palau in the semifinals. Entering the finals, he tied Brieuc Mallet for second in the event with three doubles (one behind Juan Maratita), tied Jesus Iguel and Jerome De Los Santos for 6th in total bases (10) and was third in most total chances without an error (behind Manuel Sablan Jr. and Melngis Uchel).
