Biographical Information[edit]

Jeong-jun Park played in the Korea Baseball Organization and for the South Korea national baseball team.

Park was drafted by the Lotte Giants in the first round of the 2003 KBO draft, but he mainly stayed in the minors in his first two seasons, and he only got 37 at-bats combined with the big club. He hit .205/.258/.256 in 91 games in 2005, then he recorded a .194/.240/.245 batting line in 2006. Park then missed the next two seasons due to military service, and he returned in 2009. Park played 63 games with a .285/.371/.441 batting line in '09 season, but he was placed in the minors in most of the 2010 season. The Giants then traded him with Jeong-hun Lee to the Nexon Heroes for Won-jun Ko.

The Bucheon native hit .207/.318/.283 in 50 games in 2011, and he only got 18 appearances with the big club in 2012. Park then represented Korea in the 2012 Asian Championship, and he was retired by Jon-Jon Robles of the Philippines in his only at-bat of the event. South Korea won Bronze. The Heroes then traded him with Seok-hoon Ji and Chang-seob Lee to the NC Dinos for Sin-yeong Song and Jae-young Shin. Park crushed 4 homers with a .247/.337/.355 batting line in 2013, his batting line was .241/.305/.315 in 39 games in 2014. He was 8-for-21 in 2015, then he announced his retirement.

Overall, Park hit .232/.308/.324 with 185 hits in 11 seasons in the KBO.
