Biographical Information[edit]
Jeff Albies is a former minor league infielder and college coach.
Selected by the Atlanta Braves in the eighth round of the 1965 amateur draft, Albies played three seasons of minor league ball in their organization. He hit .188/?/.231 for the '65 Yakima Braves. In 1966, he batted .231/.344/.246 for the Kinston Eagles. He wrapped up in '67 with Kinston (.267/.313/.311 in 30 G) and the West Palm Beach Braves (13 for 73, 2 BB, 2B).
From 1975 to 2007, he was baseball coach at William Paterson University, leading them to Division III College World Series titles in 1992 and 1996. They made seven Division III College World Series appearances overall during his tenure.
